Your reflection on embracing lifelong learning during your transition to retirement deeply resonated with me. There's something profoundly courageous about how you've approached this significant life change - not with fear, but with openness to new experiences and growth - thank you for sharing !

Carolyn, It's a beautiful painting and you captured the mood perfectly. Your writing is such a heartfelt and refreshing reminder that learning doesn’t end when a career does—it evolves.

Welcome to your next chapter ! I often look to Louise Hay as a model for life long learning. She kept going til she took her last breath. Thats what I plan on!

Lovely WC painting Carolyn😇 It makes me happy to know that you are carving your time according to your interests post retirement whilst I’ve seen many veterans sit around sulking not knowing how to use their time and being so rigid that they don’t take a step further . Keep learning and enjoying your time doing so ❤️

I think you're doing fantastic at your watercolor painting. I draw stick people, but I can color between the lines. 😂

Learning is living. When we stop learning and growing, I mean, what's the point really. Enjoyed reading your article and transitioning into retirement. It is a change, but it's all about mindset and how we approach it.

Totally agree that we learned from each other . Whether they're from students or even the mature in wisdom, everyone has something that we can teach them, and they can teach us... if we just listen
